RACE IN AMERICA: IN DEPTH

This two part workshop is designed for those who are eager to dive deeper into the complexities of race relations in America. You may not have much experience actively engaging in dialogue about race, and it may be an uncomfortable topic for you to approach. Given the current state of race relations in America, your relationships may be strained due to differences in opinion on these topics.

Registering for this workshop says that you are:

  • In a "what now" phase of discovering the challenges of race relations in America

  • Eager to do something about how you respond to situations involving race

  • Ready to make change in your relationships with regard to race

This is a hands-on, participatory workshop. You will leave this workshop with a sense of personal freedom in discussing race with the people in your life and what to do when you reach an impasse in such discussions.

The total cost for both sessions is $250.00. You can register for this event through EventBrite, or by registering on our Contact Us page, and pay for them via PayPal.

This is a two part series held on Mar. 7th and April. 4th from 1:00PM EST - 4:30PM EST. It should be noted that second session of this series builds upon the tools learned in the first one.

The number of participants in this workshop is limited.

We hope to see you there!

MULTICULTURAL DIFFERENCES IN AMERICA (MDAA)

Our Multicultural Differences In America Awareness (MDAA) organizational programs and public sessions have been attended by students and adults from across the United States.

In MDAA we create a culture of knowledge, wonder and freedom. The framework we present allows people to be themselves and engage in conversations that are sometimes complex yet new and inviting. Many people return to participate in additional Awareness sessions. Participants who are interested in taking MDAA to the next level participate in our MDAA In Depth workshops.

MDAA In Depth is for those interested in having a direct impact on race relations beyond Awareness.

COLLEGE AND FUTURE SUCCESS (CFS)

Our College and Future Success (CFS) programming is designed to have students and their parent/guardian/adult champion create a mindset of success. We offer online learning programs created to close non-academic educational gaps many educators recognize as equally critical to academic learning.

Many modern post secondary education institutions expect students to arrive with the same level of academic and cultural knowledge. However, the majority of students, especially those in undeserved communities, are sorely lacking the necessary skills for these environments. These programs give equitable access to the necessary skills and knowledge for post secondary success.

This program allows eighth through twelfth graders participate in a Success Orientation prior to interviewing for One-on-One Success Coaching or Group Sessions.

We encourage collaboration and communication with a K-12 counselor or educator as a key to students reaching their goals.

Some of the areas covered are:

College success

Leadership

 Peer support

Trades/Vocational Opportunities

Partnership

Confidence

Empathy and Compassion
